Pageview

A pageview is recorded each time a page of your website is loaded or viewed.

Pageviews were the core metric of early web analytics. In GA4 they are a regular event called page_view, and single-page applications need extra setup to record them correctly on route changes.

Pageviews alone say little about engagement, so they are usually read together with sessions, engagement time and conversions.
